Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and LVL Digital Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17436151) whose registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We make and run LVEL; “we” and “us” in these terms mean that company. By using the LVEL app or lvel.app, you accept them and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use LVEL.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.
2. What LVEL is
LVEL is a day-by-day challenge tracker. You choose a daily action and a length, check in once a day, and see your progress as a grid, a streak, checkpoints and statistics. You can do a challenge alone or with other people, keep a photo journal, and add widgets to your Home Screen and Lock Screen.
LVEL is a tracking tool. It is not medical, fitness, nutrition, mental health, financial or other professional advice.
3. Your health comes first
You decide what your challenge is and whether it is safe for you. Set targets that suit your body and your situation, and speak to a doctor before starting anything physically demanding, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury or illness.
Ready-made programs in the app are general suggestions written by us, not plans designed for you. Stop if something hurts.
4. Your account
- Until you sign in, your progress lives on that installation: if you delete the app first, we cannot recover it.
- Signing in with Apple or Google keeps your progress for a new phone. Keep control of that account; anyone with it can reach your LVEL data.
- You are responsible for what happens through your account. You may delete it at any time from Profile.
5. Subscriptions and the free trial
Using LVEL needs an active subscription. Every plan unlocks the whole app:

Prices are in US dollars. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you confirm, and that is the price you pay.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions.
- Free trial. The yearly plan starts with 7 days free, once per Apple Account. LVEL reminds you two days before it ends. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you are not charged; otherwise the yearly price is charged when it ends.
- Cancelling. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your LVEL account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Apple handles all payments and refunds, under Apple's rules. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
- Restoring. On a new phone, use Restore purchases on the subscription screen with the same Apple Account.
- Price changes. If we change a price, Apple tells you first, and where the law or Apple requires it, asks you to agree before you pay more.
6. Your content
Your challenge titles, task titles, notes, photos and profile are yours. You give us permission only to store them, show them to you, and show the parts described in the privacy policy to the people in a challenge you share, so the app can work. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for a report under review.
Only upload photos you have the right to share. If a photo shows another person, you need their permission.
8. Photo and community rules
These rules apply to every photo, name, group name and challenge title that other people can see. Do not post:
- Nudity or sexual content
- Violence, or anything meant to shock
- Hate, harassment or bullying
- Photos of other people without their permission
- Anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Anyone can report a photo; it is hidden from the group as soon as it is reported, and we review every report. Anyone can block another person. We remove content that breaks these rules, and we remove, suspend or ban the accounts of people who break them, without a refund where the law allows.
To report something urgent, or anything the app's report button does not cover, write to contact@lvel.app. We act on reports within 24 hours.
9. Using LVEL fairly
Do not attack, overload or try to break into LVEL, get around its limits or its subscription, collect other people's data, or use it to harm anyone. We may suspend or close an account that does.
10. Streaks, checkpoints and statistics
Streaks, streak freezes, checkpoints, completion figures and Insights exist to help you keep going. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for anything, and we may adjust how they are calculated as the app improves.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep LVEL running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Features may change. If we ever shut LVEL down, we will give notice in the app so you can save what matters, and stop renewals.
Keep your own copy of anything you would hate to lose, such as timelapse videos and photos.
12. Our content
The LVEL name, mascot, logo, design, app and website are ours. You may not copy, resell, decompile or reverse engineer them, or use our brand as your own. Screenshots and share images of your own progress are yours to post.
13. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve LVEL without owing you payment or credit. You keep the right to use your own ideas as well.
14. No warranty, and limits on liability
LVEL is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
To the maximum extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, for what other people post, or for any injury or loss resulting from the activities you choose to track. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for LVEL in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
15. Ending this agreement
You can stop using LVEL and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. The sections on your content, liability and Apple continue after the agreement ends.
16. Apple App Store
These terms are between you and LVL Digital Ventures Ltd, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content. Your licence to use LVEL is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for LVEL. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; otherwise Apple has no warranty obligation for LVEL. Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, privacy and intellectual property claims; we handle those.
You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or listed as a terrorist-supporting country, and not on a US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
17. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
If something goes wrong, write to contact@lvel.app first. Most problems are quicker to sort out that way.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as LVEL changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use LVEL after that means you accept the change.
